It's a plating method using friction technique. A steel brush using for melting by friction. Steel brush on a grinder machine melting a metal stick taking and plating on a surface by melting by friction heat. This method also can used to plate metal onto hard stones and onto glass.

CLAIMS

Claim 1: It's a kind of metal plating method and an aparey to apply this method.

Claim 2: It's the metal plating method mentioned in claim 1, using metal friction to melt and plate the metal onto a surface

Claim 3: It's the plating method in claim 1, using friction melting method and plating metal onto some nonmetal materials.

Claim 4: It's the aparey in claim 1, it's function is to push the metal stick onto the steel brush of the grinder machine.

Metal Plating Method and Aparey

Technical Field:

This plating method can be used on several fields. It provides to plate metal also some of nonmetal materials.

Background Art:

It's possible to plate metal by electrolysis and by chemical electrolysis. But the invention is using a different technique.

Disclosure of Invention:

Its a different method to plate metal (li) on some other metals and on some nonmetal materials (2d). This method is using heating by friction. For this method I used a grinder machine (2a) and a steel brush (2c) for this machine. The metal (li, 2f) we want to heat and take onto the steel brush (2c), placed into the aparey (2e) and touching onto the steel brush (2c). At the same time the steel brush (2c) is touching onto a surface (2d) we want to plate. When we start the grinder machine (2a), the steel brush (2c) is heating the metal (2f) and melting, taking the melted metal onto points of the wires of steel brush (2c) very few amounts. At the same time the steel brush (2c) is touching on the surface (2d) we want to plate metal (2f). The steel brush (2c) is melting the metal (2f) and taking onto wires itself then heating the surface (2d) by rubbing with steel brush (2c), so the few amount of melted metal at the points of the steel brush (2c) wires, is plating onto the surface (2d) we heated by brushing with grinder machine (2a). But the metal (2f) we want to plate onto the surface (2d), must be softer then material of the surface (2d). Or it's melting degree must be lower than the material of the surface. Plus, the surface (2d) must be as smooth as possible. Otherwise the steel brush (2c) can't touch to indents on the surface (2d) and can't plate that points.

This method also can plate some of the metals onto glass and hard stones. Forexam can plate brass onto marble and glass. But it's important to be careful not to crack the glass. You musn't push the brush hard and for a long time onto the same point. Otherwise there may a crack be occur on that point. So, you must apply the brushing process onto the glass, gently.

The aparey holding the metal has a telescopic design. So, the metal can touch onto the steel brush by an optimum position. This aparey is fixed onto protection cover (2b) of grinder machine. There's also a hard steel plate (lh) fixed onto the protection cover (2b), to protect this cover from abrasion of the steel brush (2c). i Brief Description of Drawings:

Fig 1 is the wiev of the aparel with it's parts.

Fig 2 is applying the method onto a surface by a grinder machine.

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention:

The best mode is to use a steel brush to melt the metal and plate by friction heat. This brush can be produced very big to apply onto larger surfaces.

Mode(s) for Carrying Out the Invention,:

Maybe it can fix two pieces of glass to each other by plating brass or cupper onto two glass pieces, with solder. Also can use on marbles to cover brass in decorative arts. But after plating needed to polish the brass. Also can plate glass in decorative arts. Maybe can plate ships with metal alloys to protect them from corrosion. Because in this method plating a metal alloy is possible. It's not needed to use different chemicals like in electrolysis method. The method also can be used in jewellery field. It can plate gold onto nonmetal materials. Forexam a pearl can be plated with gold. Or a diamond can be plated with gold. Semi precious Stones also can plate by gold and silver. Tombstones also can plated with stainless alloys.

Industrial Applicability, and, where applicable:

The metal holder aparey can fixed onto grinder machines as an additional function. Big sized of brushes can used to plate ships and steel elements of steel consturaction bridges. The invention also can user for manything as trial and hobbies. And different kind of abrasiven can be found for the grinder machines to melt and plate metal. You can try by pushing a brass stick and a piece of marble or glass onto steel brush at the same time.
