Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a metal filter element exhibiting enhanced sealability, such a disc-type, a cylindrical-type, or a pleated-type metal filter element. [Solution] The foregoing problem is solved by a metal filter element 10 having a junction 31 between a filtration member 11 and an edge member 21 which is disposed on a peripheral edge 12 of the filtration member 11. The filtration member 11 at least comprises: a filter material 1; and a reinforcement member 2 disposed on one surface or both surfaces (S1 and/or S2) of the filter material 1. The edge member 21 is a member that crimps the peripheral edge 12 of the filter member 11 by sandwiching same from both sides S3, S4. The peripheral edge 12 of the filtration member 11 has a folded-back edge 3a where the filter material 1 is folded back. The folded-back edge 3a is constituted so as to be crimped by the edge member 21 while in contact with the edge member 21.
