Abstract:
A metal annular gasket having excellent sealing ability, sound and vibration
damping ability, high durability, and easily carried. The metal annular gasket
has an annular metal base plate (1), compound layers (2) integrally layered on
both sides of the base plate and formed by mixing a fiber material into synthetic
resin or a rubber material, and a seal ring layer (3) made of synthetic resin or
a rubber material and integrally joined to flat layers (2a) formed by compressing
portions of the composition layers (2) in the thickness direction, the compressed
portions being those with a specific width in inner peripheral portions of the
composition layers (2). The surface of the seal ring layer (3) is flush with the
surface of the compound layers (2) excluding the flat pressed layers (2a).
