Abstract:
The present application discloses a memory access control method and apparatus, which are used for achieving memory partition isolation, reducing software overhead, and reducing memory isolation granularity. The method comprises: configuring a memory tag for at least one memory domain; before running any of the at least one memory domains, such as a first memory domain, if the first memory domain is configured with a memory tag, then releasing the memory tag of the first memory domain; and after determining that the first memory domain does not have a memory tag, running the first memory domain. The solution can non-invasively modify an application program without needing to re-compile program code and without needing to increase the size of the application program, thereby reducing implementation costs; relative to other memory isolation solutions implemented using software or hardware, the invention reduces performance overhead, for instance, reducing user state and kernel context switching overhead; the invention further achieves fine-grained memory access control.
