Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a medical material recognition system which is capable of easily and quickly recognizing a medical material, and which can be used for accurate aggregation and management, for example.
[Solution] A medical material recognition system 10 is provided with: an image capturing unit 12 which captures an image of product recognition information 102 applied in advance, at a manufacturing stage or a dispatching stage, to one surface of the actual packaging of a medical material, to acquire recognition information image data; a medical material database 14 in which a plurality of items of medical material data and the recognition information image data relating to the product recognition information applied in advance to the actual packaging of each medical material are stored in advance in association with one another; and a comparing means 16 for recognizing the medical material imaged by the image capturing unit 12, by comparing the recognition information image data acquired by the image capturing unit 12 with the recognition information image data stored in the medical material database 14.
