Abstract:
Provided is a mechanical joint in which packing is compressed and a seal is created between a body and a pipe by screwing a nut into the body, said mechanical joint comprising: teeth that are provided continuously in the circumferential direction of the body, said teeth being provided with a wall that comprises a surface parallel to the central axis of the body; and a ring that is a plate-shaped member fixed to the nut, said ring being provided with a claw extending further inward than the circumference of the nut.
