Abstract:
A magnetron for an electronic oven in which a drain electrode (60) is arranged at a position in the vicinity of a cathode (25) so as not to disturb the electron beam. The cathode and the drain electrode are spiral and arranged alternatingly. During operation, the drain electrode is maintained at the same potential or a negative potential to the cathode. The drain electrode collects plus ions generated in the vicinity of the cathode and so suppresses production of high frequency noise.
