Title:
MAGNETIC BEARING
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2004/076876
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A control system of a magnetic bearing, comprising a microprocessor, and having a high control performance even though inexpensive A/D converters are used. An A/D converter 31 is of high speed type having a short conversion time. A large number of A/D converters 32 to 35 are used which are of inexpensive and low speed type having a longer conversion time than that of the A/D converter 31. A conversion signal having been subjected to A/D conversion in a short time by the high-speed A/D converter 31 is first subjected to arithmetic processing by a microprocessor 13 to find a current command value for an electromagnet 11 associated with the Z axis. During the arithmetic processing, the low-speed A/D converters 32 to 35 perform A/D conversion. When the conversion terminates, the microprocessor 13 takes in the conversion signal to perform a predetermined arithmetic processing of the conversion signal to find respective current command values for electromagnets 2A, 3A, 2B and 3B associated with the X and Y axes.
