Title:
LIQUID-FILLED VIBRATION ISOLATOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2002/055900
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A liquid-filled vibration isolator supporting a power unit such as an automobile engine, effectively attaining vibration control, steering stability and improved riding comfort during traveling, and vibration control during idling. The liquid-filled vibration isolator comprises a vibration isolating base body (4) in the form of a rubber-like elastic body interposed between upper and lower fixtures (2, 3), a liquid chamber (5) formed between the vibration isolating base body (4) and a diaphragm (6), a partition (7) partitioning the liquid chamber into two chambers, and an orifice passageway (8), the attaching surface (3a) of the lower fixture (3) for a support member (B2) on the car body side having an angle of inclination($g(u)) of 30°or above with respect to the horizontal, wherein the ratio (Kd1/Kd2) of the dynamic spring constant (Kd1) vertically of the vehicle provided by the vibration isolating base body (4) to the dynamic spring constant (Kd2) in the horizontal direction is set in the range of 1.3 3.0 to allow the orifice to exert the vibration damping function in a vibration frequency band during idling.
