Abstract:
Provided is a link actuation device capable of operating precisely in a wide operating range although being compact, and capable of suppressing a load on the device caused by a bend in a wire rod inserted in a space inside a link mechanism without damaging the wire rod. A distal end-side link hub (3) is coupled to a proximal end-side link hub (2) via three or more sets of link mechanisms (4) so that the posture thereof can be changed. Each of the link mechanisms (4) is composed of a proximal end-side end link member (5), a distal end-side end link member (6), and a central link member (7). A wire core (33) both ends of which are held at wire rod holding points (Q1, Q2) located on link hub central axes (B, C) is disposed between the link hubs (2, 3). When the distances from a middle point (O) to spherical link centers (P1, P2) in a state where the link hubs (2, 3) are parallel to each other are each denoted by (D), and the distances from the spherical link centers (P1, P2) to the wire rod holding points (Q1, Q2) are each denoted by (H), a relation of H=0.5×D is satisfied.
