Abstract:
A linear motion mechanism (1) comprises: a shaft (50) that extends along a prescribed axial line (C); a structural member (40) that has formed therein a cavity (S) through which the shaft penetrates; a spline nut (80) and a ball screw nut (70) that support the shaft (50) against the structural member respectively in a manner rotatable about the axial line (C) and in a manner movable in the direction of the axial line (C). The spline nut (80) and the ball screw nut (70) are, by means of mounting flanges (81a), (71a) respectively provided thereto, detachably mounted to the structural member (40) from both sides across the structural member (40). The spline nut (80) and/or the ball screw nut (70) has fixed thereto within the cavity (S) a motive power transmission member (83) having an outer diameter larger than that of the mounting flange (81a), and is mounted to the structural member (40) via an adapter (90) having an outer diameter larger than that of the motive power transmission member (83).
