Abstract:
This linear motion guide unit comprises: rails that each include a rail side surface and a rail upper surface extending in the longitudinal direction, the rail having a first orbital plane provided on the race side surface; a sliding member that is attached to the rails so as to be capable of relative movement, and includes a sliding member lower surface facing the rail upper surface and a second orbital plane facing the first orbital plane; a plurality of rolling elements that roll on a track passage formed by the first orbital plane and the second orbital plane; a cover member that includes a first fastener extending in the longitudinal direction, and covers the rails and the sliding member; a movement member that is disposed on the outside of the cover member and moves together with the sliding member; and a linking member for linking the sliding member and the movement member. The first fastener includes a first right-side element extending along the longitudinal direction, a first left-side element extending in the longitudinal direction along the first right-side element and capable of meshing with the first right-side element, a first front-side slider that is attached to the first right-side element and the first left-side element and is fixed to the sliding member and the movement member, and a first rear-side slider that is attached to the first right-side element and the first left-side element and positioned separated from the first front-side slider in the longitudinal direction, the first rear-side slider being fixed to the sliding member and the movement member. When the sliding member and the movement member move, the first front-side slider and the first rear-side slider cause the first right-side element and the first left-side element to separate from each other in conjunction with movement in the direction opposite to the side on which the opposite member is positioned, and causes the first right-side element and the first left-side element to mesh with each other in conjunction with movement toward the side on which the opposite member is positioned. The linking member includes a first support member disposed between the first front-side slider and the first rear-side slider in the longitudinal direction, and supporting the movement member. When viewed from the rail upper surface side in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, a first opening region formed when the first right-side element and the first left-side element are separated from each other is disposed at a position avoiding the rails.
