Abstract:
This linear motion guide unit comprises: a spline shaft that has a first raceway surface extending in the longitudinal direction; a slider that is attached so as to be capable of movement relative to the spline shaft and has a second raceway surface opposite the first raceway surface; and a plurality of rollers that roll along a raceway formed from the first raceway surface and the second raceway surface. The slider includes: a casing that is provided with a first circulation path parallel to the second raceway surface and the raceway, includes the second raceway surface, and is disposed radially outward relative to the spline shaft; and an end cap that is attached to the casing, and is provided with a second circulation path connecting the raceway and the first circulation path. The plurality of rollers circulate in a ring-shaped path formed from the raceway, the first circulation path, and the second circulation path. The casing is provided with a slit such that a portion of the first circulation path is exposed. The width of the slit is smaller than the length of the rollers.
