Abstract:
This linear motion guide unit comprises a rail, a slider, and a plurality of rolling elements. The slider includes a casing and an end cap. The casing includes a pair of sleeve parts disposed on both sides in the width direction of the rail, and a base part connected to each of the pair of sleeve parts. The linear motion guide unit includes: a strain sensor that is attached to the casing and detects strain of the casing; and a control device that has a determination unit which determines whether preload applied to the rolling elements has been lost on the basis of strain data detected by the strain sensor, and an output unit that outputs a determination result by the determination unit.
