A light guide 1 guides light input from a light entry surface 10a to a light exit surface 20a different from the light entry surface, and outputs the light from the light exit surface. The light guide 1 comprises: a light entry portion 10 that has a light entry surface through which light enters in the Z-axis direction; a light guide portion 20 that is disposed on the light exit surface side to guide the light in the Y-axis direction and to output the light from the light exit surface; and a continuous portion 31 and a discontinuous portion 32 which are disposed at the boundary of the light entry portion and the light guide portion, the continuous portion 31 making the light entry portion and the light guide portion continuous, and the discontinuous portion 32 spacing the light entry portion and the light guide portion apart from each other. In this way, the light that is input into the light entry portion in the Z-axis direction through the light entry surface enters the light guide portion through the continuous portion, which is disposed at the boundary of the light entry portion and the light guide portion to make the same continuous, and the light is then guided inside the light guide portion in the Y-axis direction. Thus, the light collected by the light entry portion can be output from the light exit surface with almost no leakage.
