Description:
LIGHT-EMITTING MODULE, STEERING WHEEL, AND STEERING WHEEL SYSTEM WITH LIGHT-EMITTING MODULE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR

Technical Field

The present invention relates to the technical field of automobile parts, and in particular, to a light-emitting module, a steering wheel, and a steering wheel system with a light-emitting module and a manufacturing method therefor.

Background Art

More and more automobile steering wheels are integrated with light-emitting assemblies to implement functions such as light complementing and prompting. Currently, in processes of integrating light-emitting assemblies on automobile steering wheels, the light-emitting assemblies are mostly arranged before a steering wheel frame is finally coated with materials such as leather.

For example, a typical process comprises: forming a frame wiring foaming integrating a light-emitting assembly coating with leather. In some processes, the light-emitting assembly is split into a housing, a light-emitting element, etc., and the process comprises, for example: forming a frame foaming wiring integrating a housing coating with leather integrating a light-emitting element.

In current processes, a light-emitting assembly needs to be assembled in a conventional steering wheel production workshop in which procedures such as frame production, foaming, and coating with leather are performed. However, an environment of the conventional steering wheel production workshop is not friendly to electrical elements, so that the conventional steering wheel production workshop cannot meet process requirements. In addition, since after the foaming, the light-emitting assembly is integrated, and then coating with leather is performed, leading to a poor touch at an intersection point between the light-emitting assembly and a foam material and unstable fitting, thereby affecting use experience.

In addition, the process shown in the accompanying drawings is only an exemplary illustration, and does not necessarily include all steps. For example, some steps can be divided, and some steps can be combined or partially combined, and the actual execution order thereof may be changed based on actual conditions. The terms "first", "second" and similar terms used in the specific description do not denote any order, quantity, or importance, but are merely used to distinguish different components. It should be noted that the embodiments in the present invention and features of the various embodiments can be combined with each other without conflict.

A steering wheel system with a light-emitting module according to the present invention is formed by assembling a light-emitting module and a steering wheel which is coated with a foam material, a leather material, etc., the light-emitting module is conveniently and stably assembled to the steering wheel by means of an assembly member and a mounting member adapted to each other, the fitting is stable after the assembly, and the touch is smooth, thereby improving use experience, and simplifying a process. A light-emitting module, a steering wheel, and a steering wheel system with a light-emitting module and a manufacturing method therefor are separately described below in detail.

FIG. 1 shows a three-dimensional structure of a light-emitting module in an embodiment, and FIG. 2 shows a partial cross-sectional structure of a light-emitting module. With reference to FIGS. 1 and 2, a light-emitting module 100 for a steering wheel includes: a light source assembly 110; a mask 120 configured to cover the light source assembly 110 and transmit a light beam of the light source assembly 110; and an assembly portion 130, wherein the light source assembly 110 and the mask 120 are arranged on the assembly portion 130, and the assembly portion 130 comprises at least one assembly member 131. The at least one assembly member 131 is arranged at the bottom of the light-emitting module 100 and is configured to connect the light-emitting module 100 to the steering wheel.

In an exemplary embodiment, the light source assembly 110 may be formed as a PCBA (printed circuit board assembly, printed circuit board mounted with electronic components) structure. The light source assembly 110 may specifically include: a circuit board 111; and a plurality of light sources 112 arranged on the circuit board 111 and electrically connected to the circuit board 111. In this embodiment, the circuit board 111 is a printed circuit board (PCB), and the plurality of light sources 112 may be light-emitting diode (LED) lamp bead arrays or other suitable electronic light sources.

In an exemplary embodiment, the mask 120 may cover an edge of the circuit board 111, and a surface of the mask 120 wholly or partially forms a light emergent surface for a light beam of the light source assembly 110 to transmit. For example, the mask 120 may form a light emergent surface on a top surface thereof, such that the light-emitting module 100 forms a light-emitting module with a top light-transmitting surface; and the mask 120 may also form light emergent surfaces at a top surface and a side surface thereof, such that the entire appearance surface of the light-emitting module 100 can transmit light. The light emergent surface may be fully transparent or partially transparent, as long as the light emergent surface can transmit light.

Further, in an exemplary embodiment, the mask 120 may further include a light homogenization structure 121 arranged between the light source assembly 110 and the light emergent surface of the mask 120. The light homogenization structure 121 can adjust light rays emitted by the light source assembly 110, such that the light rays are refracted, reflected, scattered, etc. in different directions, thereby implementing an optical diffusion effect and making the emitted light more uniform in brightness. An existing material such as a light diffusion agent may be added to the light homogenization structure 121, to fill a space between the light emergent surface of the mask 120 and the light source assembly 110. The light homogenization structure 121 may also have an optical structure such as a light homogenizer or a prism. The light homogenization structure 121 and the mask 120 may be integrally arranged. For example, the mask 120 may form a structure with a light transmitting surface and a light homogenization middle portion; or the light homogenization structure 121 and the mask 120 may be separately and independently arranged.

In an exemplary embodiment, an edge of the mask 120, an edge of the light source assembly 110 (which may specifically be an edge of the circuit board 111), and the assembly portion 130 are hermetically connected to one another, so that the light-emitting module 100 forms a sealed whole. The hermetical connection may specifically be implemented by means of ultrasonic welding, laser welding, or the like. The light-emitting module 100 which forms a sealed whole can fully protect the internal light source assembly 110, and facilitate transfer and transport. Therefore, the light-emitting module 100, as an independent assembly, can be manufactured and formed in a workshop suitable for electronic products, and is then transferred and transported and assembled with the steering wheel. Since the light-emitting module 100 is formed as an independent assembly, the light-emitting module has relatively low requirements on the assembly environment, can be assembled in a steering wheel production workshop or another conventional workshop, and is suitable for mass production.

The entire light-emitting module 100 may be formed into a strip-shaped structure with a certain radian, so as to be adapted to the shape of the steering wheel frame. The light-emitting module 100 is connected to the steering wheel via at least one assembly member 131 provided in the assembly portion 130 of the light-emitting module. The assembly member 131 is arranged at the bottom of the light-emitting module 100, so that the light-emitting module 100 can be assembled on the steering wheel in a vertically inserted maimer, which is convenient and efficient. In addition, the vertically inserted assembly structure does not need to be provided with an assembly member on a side surface or another light emergent surface of the mask 120, so that the mask 120 can be formed into a structure with an entire fully-light-transmitting appearance surface, and does not block emergent light.

The connection between the light-emitting module 100 and the steering wheel may specifically be implemented by means of snap-fit, screwing, etc. In an exemplary embodiment, the assembly portion 130 of the light-emitting module 100 includes at least one snap fitting configured to snap-fit the light-emitting module 100 to the steering wheel.

FIG. 3 shows an enlarged structure of an assembly member 131 in FIG. 1. With reference to FIGS. 1 to 3, the assembly portion 130 includes a plurality of snap fittings 141. Each of the snap fittings 141 may be formed as one assembly member 131, or every several snap fittings 141 are circumferentially spaced apart to form one assembly member 131. In this embodiment, each assembly member 131 includes a pair of snap fittings 141, but the present invention is not limited thereto. Each of the snap fittings 141 is provided with a rod portion 142 extending out from the assembly portion 130 and a snap-fit portion 143 formed at a free end of the rod portion 142. The snap-fit portion 143 is provided with a guide surface 143 a for guiding the snap fitting 141 to be pressed into a mounting hole of the steering wheel, and a fastening surface 143b for fastening an end surface of the mounting hole.

It should be noted that the specific structure of the snap fitting 141 is not limited to that shown in FIGS. 1 and 3. In another embodiment, the snap fitting 141 may be formed into any structure suitable for the assembly of the light-emitting module 100 and the steering wheel. In addition, the arrangement position of the snap fitting 141 is not limited to that shown in FIGS. 1 and 3. For example, in an embodiment, the snap fitting 141 may be arranged on the steering wheel, and a structure matching the snap fitting 141 is arranged at the bottom of the light-emitting module 100.

Still with reference to FIGS. 1 and 3, where each assembly member 131 includes a plurality of snap fittings 141, when one assembly member 131 is assembled to a corresponding mounting hole, the snap-fit portions 143 of the plurality of snap fittings 141 in the assembly member 131 gather toward a central axis of the assembly member 131, and the snap-fit portions 143 are easily and smoothly pressed into the mounting holes under the guidance of the guide surfaces 143a. When one assembly member 131 is assembled into the corresponding mounting hole, the snap-fit portions 143 are restored to an initial state, so that the rod portions 142 of the plurality of snap fittings 141 are in interference fit with hole walls of the mounting holes, and the fastening surface 143b of each snap fitting 141 abuts against an end surface of the mounting hole, thereby stably connecting the light-emitting module 100 to the steering wheel.

Further, in an exemplary embodiment, the assembly portion 130 is provided with a first electrical connection portion 133 for electrically connecting the light-emitting module 100 to the steering wheel. The first electrical connection portion 133 is configured to form a circuit for supplying power to the light source assembly 110, such that the light source assembly 110 emits light. When the light-emitting module 100 is assembled to the steering wheel in place, the first electrical connection portion 133 of the light-emitting module 100 is in electrical contact with a corresponding electrical connection portion of the steering wheel, thereby electrically connecting the light-emitting module 100 to the steering wheel.

The first electrical connection portion 133 and the assembly member 131 are jointly located at the bottom of the light-emitting module 100. When the light-emitting module 100 is conveniently assembled to the steering wheel in a vertically inserted maimer by means of the assembly member 131, the first electrical connection portion 133 can also come into smooth electrical contact with the corresponding electrical connection portion of the steering wheel, and the power supply circuit of the light source assembly 110 is closed. The entire assembly process does not require a complicated wiring process such as harness fixation, and structure fitting and circuit closing can be directly implemented simultaneously in the vertically inserted manner.

In another embodiment, the light-emitting module 100 may also use an independent power supply independent of power supply by the steering wheel system, and may be replaced with a new light-emitting module 100 when the power supply is exhausted. Alternatively, in some embodiments, the light-emitting module 100 is detachably connected to the steering wheel. Therefore, through the detachable connection between the light-emitting module 100 and the steering wheel, it is possible to replace the disassembled light-emitting module 100 with a new independent power supply.

The detachable connection between the light-emitting module 100 and the steering wheel may be implemented by means of the foregoing snap-fit connection, threaded connection, etc. Certainly, the connection between the light-emitting module 100 and the steering wheel may also be a non-detachable fixed connection, thereby ensuring the stable connection between the light-emitting module 100 and the steering wheel, and the damage to the steering wheel can be prevented when the light-emitting module 100 is disassembled.

Further, in an exemplary embodiment, to ensure that the assembly between the assembly portion 130 and the steering wheel is completed and to prevent loosening of the light-emitting module 100 due to failure to mount in place, the assembly portion 130 may be further provided with one or more position detection points 144. When the one or more position detection points 144 are mounted at a correct position of the steering wheel, the power supply circuit of the light source assembly 110 is closed.

Specifically, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, a side wall(s) of one or more assembly members 131 of the assembly portion 130 is/are each provided with a first position detection point 144 which can be in electrical contact with a corresponding mounting hole of the steering wheel (correspondingly, a side wall of the mounting hole is provided with a second position detection point which can be in electrical contact with a corresponding assembly member 131). When the assembly between the assembly portion 130 and the mounting hole of the steering wheel is completed, each first position detection point is in electrical contact with a corresponding second position detection point, so that the power supply circuit of the light source assembly 110 is closed. In this case, through an operation of a relevant button on the steering wheel, it is possible to test whether the light source assembly 110 can emit light, so as to detect whether the assembly between the assembly portion 130 of the light-emitting module 100 and the mounting hole of the steering wheel is completed.

In a specific embodiment, one first position detection point 144 may be provided for each assembly member 131 of the assembly portion 130, so that when each assembly member 131 is correctly assembled to the corresponding mounting hole, the power supply circuit of the light source assembly 110 can be closed, so as to prevent the loosening of the light emitting module 100 due to the failure to mount an individual assembly member 131 in place.

FIG. 4 shows a partial structure of a steering wheel in an embodiment, FIG. 5 shows a partial structure of a steering wheel frame, and FIG. 6 shows a structure of a mounting portion. As shown in FIGS. 4 to 6, a steering wheel capable of being assembled with a light-emitting module includes: a steering wheel frame 210; and a mounting portion 220 arranged on the steering wheel frame 210, the mounting portion 220 being configured to assemble the light-emitting module, such that the light-emitting module is connected via an assembly portion at the bottom thereof to the steering wheel.

For the structure of the light-emitting module, reference can be made to the description of any of the foregoing embodiments, and the features and principles of the light-emitting module described in any of the foregoing embodiments can be applied to the following embodiments. In the following embodiments, the features and principles of the light-emitting module that have been described will not be repeated again.

In an exemplary embodiment, the mounting portion 220 is provided with at least one mounting member 223 matching an assembly member provided by the assembly portion of the light-emitting module. For example, if the assembly member of the light-emitting module is a snap fitting, the mounting member 223 provided in the mounting portion 220 is a mounting hole for the snap fitting to be snap-fitted.

In an exemplary embodiment, the mounting portion 220 may be integrally manufactured on the steering wheel frame 210, as long as a mounting hole for assembling the light-emitting module is reserved. Alternatively, the mounting portion 220 may be securely connected to the steering wheel frame 210 via a fastener.

Specifically, as shown in FIGS. 4 to 6, the steering wheel frame 210 may be provided with a groove 211, and the mounting portion 220 is fixed in the groove 211. The mounting portion 220 may form a plate structure having alternating recesses and protrusions, recessed surfaces of the mounting portion are provided with through holes 224, and threaded holes 212 are provided in corresponding positions of the groove 211, so that the mounting portion 220 is securely connected to the steering wheel frame 210 via bolts. Protruding surfaces of the mounting portion 220 are provided with mounting members 223, i.e., mounting holes. An accommodating space for assembling the assembly member of the light-emitting module is reserved between each protruding surface and the groove 211. For example, when the assembly member takes the form of the snap fitting 141 shown in FIG. 3, an accommodating space for the snap-fit portion 143 of the snap fitting 141 to extend is reserved between the protruding surface and the groove 211.

Further, in an exemplary embodiment, the mounting portion 220 is provided with a second electrical connection portion 221 corresponding to the first electrical connection portion of the light-emitting module and configured to electrically connect the steering wheel to the light-emitting module. When the mounting portion 220 is assembled to the steering wheel frame 210, the second electrical connection portion 221 may be electrically connected to a control device at the center of the steering wheel frame 210 through internal wiring.

Further, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 6, corresponding to the first position detection point provided on the side wall of each assembly member 131 of the light-emitting module, a hole wall of each mounting member 223 may be provided with a second position detection point (not specifically shown in the figures). When the assembly members 131 are assembled to the mounting members 223 in place, the first position detection points are connected to the second position detection points, and when all the first position detection points and the second position detection points adapted to each other are connected, the second electrical connection portion 221 can be connected to the first electrical connection portion of the light-emitting module, so that the power supply circuit of the light-emitting module is closed.

By means of the separate position detection points provided on the assembly members 131 and the mounting members 223, the correct assembly of the light-emitting module to the steering wheel can be ensured, and the stable connection between the light-emitting module and the steering wheel can be implemented.

Further, in an exemplary embodiment, referring to the structure of the steering wheel coated with wrapping materials shown in FIG. 7, a part, other than the mounting portion 220 (and a central control area), of the steering wheel frame of the steering wheel 200 capable of being assembled with a light-emitting module is coated with all wrapping materials 230 required for the steering wheel 200. For example, for a leather steering wheel, wrapping materials 230 include at least a foam material and a leather material from an inner layer to an outer layer.

In this embodiment, the steering wheel 200 is coated with all the required wrapping materials 230, which can be accurately shaped, reserving an accommodating space adapted to the overall configuration of the light-emitting module. The light-emitting module has an arc shape corresponding to the steering wheel 200, such that when the light-emitting module is assembled to the mounting portion 220, an edge of the light-emitting module can be smoothly and seamlessly connected to the outermost-layer wrapping material, thereby achieving a smooth touch and improving use experience.

FIG. 8 shows a partial structure of a steering wheel system with a light-emitting module in an embodiment, wherein wrapping materials are hidden to clearly show an assembled state between a light-emitting module 100 and a steering wheel (including a steering wheel frame 210 and a mounting portion 220).

As shown in FIGS. 1 to 8, the steering wheel system with a light-emitting module 100 comprises: a steering wheel 200 comprising a steering wheel frame 210 and a mounting portion 220 arranged on the steering wheel frame 210; and a light-emitting module 100 comprising a light source assembly 110, a mask 120, and an assembly portion 130.
