Description:
A KNIFE SHEATH

Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a knife sheathfor preserving and carrying knives that are used in defense industry, hunting, hobby and similar fields.

Users can attach the knife sheathin the desired direction and positionto their belts, clothes, bags and similar items and thus, ergonomics of use is provided to the users.

Prior Art

Today, knives in various models are used by users for hunting, military, scouting, search and rescue, first aid and daily work, as cutting toolsand for tactical uses. Said knives are kept in sheaths by the users while not using and during transportation.

Said knife sheaths are used by attaching to one's clothes, belts, bags and similar items. The cutting edge of the knife should face the rear direction while removing the knife from the sheath In terms of user safety. For this reason, separate knife sheaths are produced for right-handers and left-handers. Furthermore, existing sheathscannot be attached to personal belongings in the desired direction and position.

As mentioned above, currently used knife sheaths cannot be attached to the users' belongings in the desired direction (right side or left side) and in the desired position (over their belongings) and thus, a more efficient and ergonomic use cannot be provided to the users. This situation arises the need to purchase multiple sheaths or accessories for a single product.

Description of the Invention

A knife sheath is realized to achieve the aims of the present invention is shown in the figures.

In these figures;

Figure-1 is a perspective view of the inventive knife sheath with the knife inserted.

Figure-2 is a perspective view of the inventive knife sheath.

Figure-3 is a front perspective view of the inventive knife sheath.

Figure-4 is a side perspective view of the inventive knife sheath.

The parts that constitute the inventive knife sheath are enumerated as follows in the attached figures:

1- Knife sheath

2- Body

3- Discharge hole

4- Shield

4.1 Protrusion

4.2 Slot

4.3 Shaft 4.4 Hole

The inventive knife sheath (1) comprises the following;

A body (2),

A discharge hole (3), that is located at the end of the body (2) and allows the discharge of accumulations such as water or soil inside the body (2), At least one tab, located inside the mouth of the body (2), that prevents the knife from falling during its storage and ensures its attachment,

- Two shields (4) which contains at least one shaft (4.3) allowing slots (4.2) to form between the inner edge protrusions (4.1) and the body (2) and at least one hole (4.4) that is located on the upper part, provides a fastener entry such as a thread or screw into the slots (4.2) and at least one slot (4.2) that is located between itself and the body (2), provides nest for the inserted nut, which keeps the nut fixed and prevents it from moving so that it can tightened with an external screw in the process of bringing the sheath (1) to the desired position on the item or hanger, provides use for right-handed and left-handed people with its presence on both sides on the body (2).

The inventive knife sheath (1) offers use by attaching the sheath (1) to a person's jacket, belt, bag and similar goods, via a hanging apparatus or directly with the help of its shield (4). The shield (4) is located on both sides of the body (2). Thus, it is suitable for right- or left-handed people.

There are inward protrusions (4.1) on the inner forehead of the shield (4) of the inventive knife sheath (1). Slots (4.2) are formed between the protrusions (4.1) and shaft (4.3). There are holes (4.4) on the side corresponding to the upper part of said slots (4.2), that is, on the outer surface of the shield (4). The assembly of the sheath (1) and the item is preferably provided by passing a screw to be tightened with the nut in the slots (4.2) through the holes (4.4) or a rope to be tied.

A nut is placed inside the slot (4.2) of the shield (4) of the inventive knife sheath (1). As a result of tightening the screw engaged with the item transmitted through the holes (4.4) with the nut, the sheath (1) is attached to the item. Among the slots (4.2) present on the shield (4), the ones that are appropriate for the required assembly position are used. Therefore, people can use the sheath by attaching the same to the desired position. Furthermore, access to screws is provided to be more ergonomic with the fixed locking of the nuts in the slots (4.2) during the assembly process.

An inventive knife cover (1) is suitable for multi-purpose use by both right- handed and left-handed people without any further processing on the sheath (1). Individuals can also attach the sheath (1) on an item at the desired angle and position according to their own use.

The inventive knife sheath (1) can be produced in desired colors, patterns and with the desired plastic, leather and similar materials according to the demand of the user and the manufacturer.
