Abstract:
A knife gate valve is disclosed. According to an embodiment, the present invention comprises: a stuffing box including a body of which a slot is formed at the upper part thereof and both sides are open, and a disc coupled from the upper slot of the body and vertically operated so as to open and close an opening, and having a penetration part coupled to the upper part of the body and vertically opened such that the disc is penetratively coupled therethrough; a suction block coupled inside the stuffing box, having a slide groove formed to be vertically penetrated such that the disc penetrates the same, having an air moving path, which has an air inlet formed at one side thereof and in which the air moves, and having an air discharge port formed on the outer side at the other side thereof so as to communicate with the air moving path; and an air supply part for supplying high-pressure air to the air inlet of the suction block, wherein the air discharged from the air discharge port moves along the inner surface of the body so as to flow along the surface of the disc.
