Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a sanitary kitchen knife holder that enables safe, reliable stowing away and taking out, which happens frequently during cooking. [Solution] This kitchen knife holder has mounted thereto magnets disposed in a row in one direction and suspends the whole kitchen knife in the air while magnetically attracting the top of the spine of the kitchen knife having the long side thereof oriented in the lateral direction. A support body supports the kitchen knife holder at a position of a desired height. The kitchen knife holder includes a separated holding mechanism that is mounted to the kitchen knife holder and separates the top of the spine of the kitchen knife downward from the magnetic attraction surface and holds the kitchen knife in the air. Due to this magnetic attraction holding of the top of the spine of the kitchen knife, the kitchen knife may be temporarily stowed by a light and easy insertion operation, and taken out. In addition, scratches caused by contact of the top of the kitchen knife with the kitchen knife holder can be greatly reduced, and propagation of bacteria and the like can be prevented, enabling sanitary use of the kitchen knife.
