Abstract:
This isolator includes an insulating layer and a capacitor embedded in the insulating layer. The capacitor includes a first electrode section, a second electrode section, and an intermediate electrode section. The first electrode section is provided within the insulating layer and is connected to a first pad formed on the surface of the insulating layer. The second electrode section is provided within the insulating layer and is connected to a second pad formed on the surface of the insulating layer. The intermediate electrode section is provided within the insulating layer and is connected to the first electrode section and the second electrode section. The intermediate electrode section includes a first intermediate layer and a second intermediate layer in positions differing from each other in the thickness direction of the insulating layer, and a connection section extending in the thickness direction of the insulating layer and connecting the first intermediate layer and the second intermediate layer. The capacitor is formed by joining the first electrode section and the second electrode section via the intermediate electrode section.
