Abstract:
An internal combustion engine includes an engine body (1), a cylinder (3) with a spark plug (2) on the engine body (1), a piston (4) that is movable in the cylinder (3) and a connecting rod (6) with an center axis (5), wherein one end of the connecting rod (6) is connected with the piston (4) and the other end is provided on a crankshaft (8) by eccentric through hole (7). When the piston (4) is in power stroke, the pivot angle of the connecting rod (6) is greater than the pivot angle of normal connecting rod, so the torque and horsepower of the engine can be increased without having effect on the engine stroke. When the piston (4) is in compression stroke, the pivot angle of the connecting rod (6) is smaller than the pivot angle of normal connecting rod, so the torque can be reduced, and then the energy consumption can be decreased.
