Abstract:
An information providing method according to the present disclosure is carried out by a parking lot management system including a management server which communicates with an operation terminal of a user and which manages information pertaining to a vehicle state in a parking lot, wherein: a first image, which is captured by a first camera that captures images of an entrance of the parking lot, and position/motion information, which indicates the positions and motion of vehicles that are in the parking lot, are acquired; a parking vehicle which is moving to a parking section that is provided in the parking lot is identified on the basis of the first image; and, on the basis of vacancy information of the parking section and the position of the parking vehicle which has been identified on the basis of the position/motion information, first navigation information, which is necessary for showing a path to the parking section that is in a vacant state, is transmitted to an operation terminal of a user who is associated with registration information of the vehicle identified as the parking vehicle.
