Abstract:
The present disclosure pertains to an information processing device, an information processing method, and a program which enable efficient retrieval, by a mobile object such as a robot that is self-propelled and provided with a sensor, of three-dimensional spatial information in an unknown space. The present invention includes: estimating a plurality of peripheral attitude observation three-dimensional terrains, which are detected in a plurality of peripheral attitudes where the location and/or direction differs by a predetermined value from an initial attitude, on the basis of an initial attitude observation three-dimensional terrain detected at a sensor of a mobile object in the initial attitude; estimating the terrain of the periphery of the mobile object as a peripheral terrain, along with the reliability with regard to the initial attitude observation three-dimensional terrain and each of the plurality of peripheral attitude observation three-dimensional terrains; and when an initial attitude peripheral terrain estimated from the initial attitude observation three-dimensional terrain has the highest reliability, planning a path and attitude of the mobile object originating from the initial attitude to control movement. The invention can be applied to a self-traveling robot provided with a sensor.
