Abstract:
The present invention provides: an information device capable of accurately determining the type of an accessory connected to the information device and the type of a connection device that connects the accessory to the information device without reducing the extensibility of the information device; a connection device attachable to the information device; an information system that includes the information device and the connection device; a method for operating the information device; and an operation program for the information device. A connection device 20 comprises a first resistance element 22, and a single pole single throw switch 21. When a digital camera 10 is connected to an accessory 30, the digital camera 10 controls the single pole single throw switch 21 to switch between a first connection state where a resistance detection terminal D2 in the digital camera 10 is electrically connected to a second resistance element 31 included in the accessory 30 and a second connection state where the resistance detection terminal D2 is electrically connected to the first resistance element 22 and the second resistance element 31.
