Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing an in-wheel motor driving apparatus having good assembly workability when a parking lock device is installed in the apparatus. An in-wheel motor driving apparatus (10) is provided with a parking lock device (50) which is housed in a speed reducer casing (25b). A speed reducer (B) is a parallel-axis gear speed reducer. The speed reducer (B) is housed in the speed reducer casing (25b) formed by an inboard-side speed reducer casing (25d) and an outboard-side speed reducer casing (25e). The parking lock device (50) includes a parking gear (51), a parking pole (52) that can oscillate to a position for engagement with the parking gear (51) and to a standby position via a support shaft (53), and a parking cam (54) that moves the parking pole (52). The parking pole (52) and the parking cam (54) are attached to an outboard-side speed reducer casing (25e), and the outboard-side speed reducer casing (25e) is attached to the inboard-side speed reducer casing (25d).
