Abstract:
An imaging device according to the present technology comprises: an imaging unit which obtains a captured image by receiving light coming in through an imaging optical system, including a focusing lens, in a lens section that comprises said imaging optical system, an actuator for driving the focusing lens, and a lens-side control unit for controlling the operation of the actuator; and a focus control unit which achieves autofocus control by calculating a focusing lens target position, which is a position targeted for focusing of the focusing lens and causing the lens-side control unit to control the operation of the actuator on the basis of the focusing lens target position. The focus control unit imparts, to the focusing lens target position that is given to the lens-side control unit as an instruction, an offset according to a response delay of a focus control system in the lens section.
