Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to an imaging device and an imaging method for making it possible to improve the quality of an image reconstructed by a lensless camera. A mask is made of a light-blocking material that blocks input light. The mask comprises a plurality of transmissive regions for allowing the input light to pass therethrough in part of the light-blocking material, and a light-blocking region. The mask has a telescopic pattern configured in and around the center, and a wide-angle pattern outside an outer edge of the telescopic pattern and having a pitch greater than that of the telescopic pattern. The mask allows the input light to pass therethrough while modulating the input light. The input light modulated by the telescopic pattern is captured as a telescopic imaging result, and the input light modulated by the wide-angle pattern of the mask is captured as a wide-angle imaging result. A telescopic image is reconstructed on the basis of the telescopic imaging result, and a wide-angle image is reconstructed on the basis of the wide-angle imaging result. The present disclosure may be applied to cameras mounted in smartphones.
