An imaging device (60) comprises: a mode setting unit (72) that sets an aperture driving mode from among a plurality of aperture driving modes that include a first aperture driving mode and a second aperture driving mode in which aperture driving is restricted more than it is in the first aperture driving mode; and a control unit (72) that controls aperture driving in accordance with the brightness of an imaging subject, in a case where the second aperture driving mode has been set by the mode setting unit.
