Abstract:
The present technology pertains to an image processing device and method, and a program, for enabling the focus condition of a photographed image to be checked more easily. A processing unit for determining an in-focus area calculates, on the basis of a photographed image, an in-focus score indicating the in-focus degree of each area of the photographed image. A display control processing unit determines, on the basis of the in-focus score of each area, an area on the photographed image having a high in-focus score to be a center-of-display position. A display processing unit cuts out a prescribed area on the photographed image centering around the center-of-display position, creates an enlarged display image from the cut-out area, and has a display unit display the enlarged display image. A portion of the photographed image, enlarged centering around a best-focused area, is thereby displayed. The present technology may be applied to a digital still camera.
