Abstract:
This image heating device is provided with: an image heating unit that comprises a heater, a cylindrical film an inner surface of which is contacted by the heater, and a rotated pressurizing member for coming into contact with an outer surface of the film and forming a nip part with the outer surface where a recording material is conveyed, the heat of the heater being used to heat an unfixed toner image formed on the recording material; a temperature sensing unit for sensing the temperature of the heater; a control unit for controlling power supplied to the heater so that the temperature sensed by the temperature sensing unit maintains a predetermined control target temperature; and an acquisition unit for acquiring image information for forming the unfixed toner image. The control target temperature is set on the basis of the image information for each of a plurality of regions obtained by subdividing the recording material in a conveyance direction.
