Abstract:
The present invention makes it possible to, even when a development cartridge and a toner cartridge that have been replaced before reaching the life spans thereof are attached again, grasp remaining toner amounts in the respective cartridges. An image forming device 100 is provided with a device body 120, a development cartridge 1, a toner cartridge 2, and a control unit 200. The development cartridge 1 comprises a development roller 12, a development chamber 11, and a development memory 16. The toner cartridge 2 comprises a housing 21 that houses toner, a supply unit that supplies the toner from the housing 21 to the development chamber 11, and a toner memory 26. The control unit 200 causes the development memory 16 to store a cumulative toner receiving amount and a cumulative toner consumption amount. The control unit 200 causes the supply unit to operate and supply a first predetermined amount of toner to the development chamber 11 when determining that a value obtained by subtracting the cumulative toner consumption amount from the cumulative toner receiving amount that are stored in the development memory 16 is a first threshold value or less. The control unit 200 causes the toner memory 26 to store a cumulative toner supply amount.
