Abstract:
This image forming device places an order for a combination of a toner cartridge and a drum cartridge, in accordance with the remaining life of a toner cartridge and that of a drum cartridge, the device comprising: the drum cartridge and the toner cartridge that are detachable from a main body of the device; and a control unit. The control unit sends to a server a signal to place an order for a new drum cartridge along with a new toner cartridge (S10) if having determined that the sum of LT1, which is the number of pages printable with a toner cartridge mounted on the main body of the device, and LT2, which is the number of pages printable with the new toner cartridge, is no less than LD1, which is the number of pages printable with a drum cartridge mounted on the main body of the device (S6, Yes).
