Abstract:
This image formation device comprises: a charging brush for, in a first charging portion that comes into contact with the surface of a photosensitive drum having a support and a surface layer on the surface thereof, charging the surface of the photosensitive drum; a developing member for, in a facing portion that faces the surface of the photosensitive drum, supplying a developer to the surface of the photosensitive drum; and a charging roller for, in the rotation direction of the photosensitive drum, charging the surface of the photosensitive drum charged by the charging brush downstream from the first charging portion and upstream from the facing portion, and performs control such that the volume resistivity of the surface layer of the photosensitive drum is 1.0×109 to 1.0×1014 Ω•cm inclusive, and a second potential difference formed between the surface of the photosensitive drum charged by the charging brush and the charging roller becomes a discharge starting voltage or higher.
