Abstract:
An illumination device having a light guide for propagating incident light and an illumination panel provided with an illumination region, a portion of the surface part of the illumination panel excluding the illumination region being shielded, the light guide being covered by the illumination panel, and light emitted from the light guide providing illumination upon being transmitted through the illumination region of the illumination panel, wherein the illumination device is characterized in that the face of the illumination panel surrounding the light guide is white.
