Abstract:
A hydraulic torque converter and a motor vehicle comprising same. The hydraulic torque converter comprises: a cover (1) driven by an engine-side drive component of the motor vehicle to rotate about an axis of rotation (RO) of the hydraulic torque converter; a pump wheel (2) rotationally and fixedly connected to the cover (1); a turbine (3) driven to rotate about the axis of rotation (RO) to output torque to an input shaft of a transmission of the motor vehicle; a piston disc (4) comprising a friction surface (41), wherein the piston disc (4) can be actuated to cause the hydraulic torque converter to switch between a fluid transmission mode and a mechanical transmission mode, and in the mechanical transmission mode, the friction surface (41) abuts against the cover (1) such that the cover (1) rotates integrally with the piston disc (4); and at least one torsional vibration damper (5) held between the piston disc (4) and the turbine (3), wherein the torsional vibration damper (5) comprises at least one spring (51). With the hydraulic torque converter, manufacturing costs can be saved, the size can be reduced, and the mounting space of other torque transmission components is increased.
