Abstract:
Provided is a hydraulic power transmission device that makes it possible to keep pressure loss low in an oil path downstream from a piston chamber of a hydraulic clutch and that can suitably prevent decreases in transmission torque capacity in the hydraulic clutch. Left/right pressure regulating valves (8L, 8R) that regulate the pressure of oil flowing out from the piston chambers (59L, 59R) of left/right clutch devices (5L, 5R) are arranged adjacent to and downstream from the piston chambers (59). As a result, it is possible to shorten the oil path leading from the piston chambers (59) to the pressure regulating valves (8), and it is thereby possible to keep pressure loss low in the oil path. In addition, the degree of freedom with respect to the arrangement of a pressing load bearing (82) that receives the pressing force (propulsive force) of a piston member (57) is improved, the propulsive efficiency of the piston member (57) is thereby improved, and it is thus possible to suitably prevent decreases in transmission torque capacity in the hydraulic clutch (5).
