Abstract:
A hydraulic drive system (100A) of an industrial machine is provided with a boom cylinder (4) (first hydraulic actuator), an arm cylinder (8) (second hydraulic actuator), a hydraulic pump device (51), a control valve (5), a regenerator (61), a first operation device (41), a second operation device (42), a sensor device (71), and a controller (27) (control device). The sensor device (71) includes at least one of the following: a pressure sensor (23), a pressure sensor (24), a pressure sensor (25), and a pressure sensor (26). The controller (27) is provided with a fault detection unit (142) and a first control unit. The abnormality detection unit (142) detects whether or not the sensor device (71) is faulty. When the sensor device (71) has a fault, the first control unit controls the regenerator (61) so that oil returning from the boom cylinder (4) is not supplied to the arm cylinder (8), even if a value detected by the sensor device (71) satisfies a regeneration condition.
