Title:
HYDRAULIC BRAKE SYSTEM, AIR VENTING DEVICE, AND AIR VENTING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/175016
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A hydraulic brake system is configured so that air in a back hydraulic control device, which is connected to a back chamber behind the pressurizing piston of a master cylinder, is capable of being vented while an air-containing hydraulic fluid is not supplied to the back chamber. When an air venting command is issued, a pressure-increasing linear valve (160) is switched to an open state. This causes a pump device (106), high-pressure piping (102), a control pressure chamber (122), and a reservoir (52) to be connected to form an air vent passage (250). The pump device (106) is started while hydraulic pressure within an accumulator (108) is substantially the atmospheric pressure. This causes a hydraulic fluid to flow and to be discharged to the reservoir (52). A hydraulic fluid is capable of being caused to flow while hydraulic pressure within the air vent passage (250) is low and while a regulator (97) is prevented from operating, and air venting is capable of being performed while an air-containing hydraulic fluid is not supplied to the back chamber (66).
