The present invention relates to the field of household appliances, and in particular, to a household kitchen garbage distinguishing treatment machine and a working method thereof. The treatment machine comprises a baffle (1), a liquid garbage treatment area (2), a solid waste treatment area (3), a motor (4), and an infrared signal receiver (5); the liquid garbage treatment area (2) and the solid waste treatment area (3) are homologous; the liquid garbage treatment area (2) and the solid waste treatment area (3) both have a multi-treatment mechanism. Disclosed in the present invention is a household kitchen garbage distinguishing treatment machine. Garbage first flows toward the liquid garbage treatment area (2) due to gravity and is subjected to primary filtering, and thus liquid garbage flows into the liquid garbage treatment area (2) and is treated by a water purifier and recycled; solid garbage cannot enter the liquid garbage treatment area (2). A remote control (6) controls the solid waste treatment area (3) to be opened, and after the solid garbage is crushed by five blades, the dried solid garbage can be collected at the lower part. The treatment machine is suitable for families having requirements on garbage classification.
