Abstract:
In conventionally used male nipples, fluid leaks from the connecting unit have occurred, and these leaks need to be eliminated. Disclosed is a hose connector in which a sleeve is fit to a nipple extended over a hose insertion section, and after a hose has been inserted between the nipple and the sleeve, the hose is coupled to the nipple by fastening the sleeve from the outside by means of a cap nut. A section of projections and depressions, which is insertable into the inner surface of the hose, is provided on the hose insertion section of the nipple. Stop bodies are formed on the sleeve at suitable intervals by means of slits formed in the shaft direction, and the stop bodies have a section of projections and depressions, which grips the exterior of the hose, on the inner surface at a position that corresponds to the section of projections and depressions on the nipple. By screwing the cap nut onto the sleeve, the stop bodies of the sleeve are contracted in the inner diameter direction at a taper fabricated on the inner diameter section of the cap nut, the aforementioned stop bodies engage into the exterior of the hose, and the inner surface of the hose engages into the section of projections and depressions on the nipple, thereby connecting the hose.
