Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a home appliance and an operating method thereof. The home appliance according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises: a first circuit unit having a first processor for load control or safety control; and a second circuit unit connected to the first circuit unit in a wired or wireless manner and having a second processor for controlling an operation mode on the basis of an operating system and performing an upgrade on the basis of upgrade information received from an external server or a mobile terminal. Accordingly, it is possible to efficiently upgrade the operation mode by separating the load control and the control of the operation mode.
