Abstract:
Provided is a holding seal member on which sufficiently-readable identifying information has been provided. A holding seal member for holding an exhaust gas treatment element, the holding seal member being configured from a mat comprising inorganic fiber, wherein the holding seal member is characterized in that identifying information comprising optically read codes and/or character information is printed on the surface of the mat by UV cured ink or thermofusible ink.
