Abstract:
This high-entropy hydrogen storage alloy is composed of 5% by atom to 35% by atom of Ti, 5% by atom to 35% by atom of Zr, 5% by atom to 35% by atom of Ni, 5% by atom to 35% by atom of Cr and 5% by atom to 35% by atom of Mn, while having an entropy of mixing ∆Smix represented by formula (1) of 1.5 R or more. The main phase has a C14 type crystal structure. (1): ∆Smix = -RΣxiln(xi) (In formula (1), R represents the gas constant; and plural xi represent respective molar fractions of the elements contained in the high-entropy hydrogen storage alloy.)
