Abstract:
This mast spacer (20A) is provided between a mast bearing and a mast nut on the main shaft of a helicopter, and has a cylindrical spacer body (21). One end of the mast spacer (20A) serves as a bearing abutment end (22) which abuts fittably against the inner ring of the mast bearing and is provided with, for example, bearing-side protrusions (23) that are fitted into recesses provided in the inner ring of the mast bearing. The spacer body (21) is provided with slits, such as spiral slits (24), which penetrate the side wall thereof. Each of the slits is formed in a linear shape intersecting the cylindrical axial direction of the spacer body (21).
