Abstract:
A heavy mesh cloth device for suppressing flutter of a cross-sea bridge. A large-area heavy mesh cloth which is immersed in water and comprises a plurality of counterweight blocks (6) is suspended under a main beam by using ropes (7); when a bridge vibrates due to wind, the device is driven to move in the water, the gravity of the device and the water body generate a huge additional mass force and additional damping force on the mesh cloth to perform a negative work on the main beam, so as to consume vibration energy of the bridge, and effectively suppress large-amplitude vibration of the bridge; the mesh cloth is mainly composed of cable chains (1), node connectors (3), mesh materials (4) and a high-strength cloth (5); the usage of lightweight and standardized members facilitates installation, detachment, transport and storage, providing the advantages of being safe, reliable, economical and practical.
