Abstract:
Provided are: a head maintenance device, which can prevent positional shifting of an inkjet head on which a moisture-retaining cap is tightly attached; a liquid-discharging device; a capping device; and a head-capping method. A head maintenance device (400) is provided with a capping device (403) for retaining the moisture of a nozzle surface (146A) of a liquid-discharging head (146) wherein the capping device is provided with: a cap (480) with a moisture retention liquid storage part (486) for storing a moisture retention liquid; pressing parts (602) for pressing elastic members (600), which are for maintaining a seal between a side surface of the liquid-discharging head and the cap in a first direction that intersects with the side surfaces of the liquid-discharging head; and press-moving parts (604) for moving the pressing parts in the first direction.
