Abstract:
A hair dryer (1) serving as a hair care device is provided with a heat application unit (30) that applies heat to a user's hair, a component generation unit (40) that generates a component that acts on the hair, and a control unit (80) that controls operation of the heat application unit (30) and the component generation unit (40). The component generation unit (40) is at least one from among an ion generation unit that generates ions, an acidic component generation unit that generates an acidic component, and a charged microparticle water generation unit that generates charged microparticle water. The control unit (80) controls, on the basis of characteristics of the user's hair, the amount of the component generated by the component generation unit (40).
