Abstract:
This grease replacing method in a speed reducer 4 having a casing 41 which stores a gear and in which a prescribed amount of grease is sealed comprises: carrying out a replacing operation for discharging grease from the casing 41 and injecting new grease into the casing 41 until the amount of grease in the casing becomes greater than the prescribed amount; carrying out a gear rotating operation after the replacing operation; and carrying out, after the gear rotating operation, an amount adjusting operation for discharging the grease from the casing 41 until the amount of grease in the casing 41 is reduced to the prescribed amount.
