Abstract:
A grating coupler, comprising a two-dimensional grating (102), a plurality of two-mode mode multiplexers (103), and an on-chip processing unit (106), wherein a waveguide in each direction of the two-dimensional grating (102) is connected to a corresponding two-mode mode multiplexer (103); and the on-chip processing unit (106) comprises a plurality of input port groups, a plurality of adjustable interferometers (107) and a plurality of output ports (112), each input port group is connected to the corresponding two-mode mode multiplexer (103), and the plurality of adjustable interferometers (107) are used for distributing and integrating optical signals input from the input port groups, and then outputting the optical signals from the corresponding output ports (112). The grating coupler enables the matching of the coupling excitation and reception of a plurality of modes in a few-mode optical fiber, and is used for the transmission, receiving and signal processing of multi-mode optical signals.
