Glass / Jug Washing Apparatus Integrated with Water Drain

Technical Field

The invention relates to a glass/jug washing apparatus that works in combination with water drains, which ensure that the water to be discharged is transmitted to the sewer in washbasins and sinks in areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, terraces, balconies and gardens.

Prior Art

Pipelines that provide the transmission of wastewater related to common use in buildings to the central sewerage are generally called water drains. Water drains ensure that water is transmitted to the pipeline in places such as toilets, bathrooms and sinks where water is used. The said water drains generally consist of basic parts such as siphon, gasket and strainer.

In the prior art, it is very difficult to clean the interior of frequently used items such as glasses, jugs, feeding bottles, bottles, which have a deep and narrow inner chamber. The inside of the mentioned items is usually cleaned with the help of a brush or sponge.

In the prior art, there are apparatuses known as "pitcher rinser-jug rinser". Said apparatuses are generally positioned on the edge of the sink or in a different mechanism. In order to position the said apparatus in the sink, the sink must be drilled and a separate installation must be created. In addition, the spring in the said apparatus may lose its function by being deformed after a time due to use. When the spring cannot fulfil the pushing force, there may be leaks in the apparatus in question.

A glass washing apparatus is mentioned in the Korean utility model document coded KR200469895, which is included in the prior art. The glass washing apparatus in question has support bars on it. When the glass to be washed is pushed onto the said support bars, water comes from the spray bar. The glass washing apparatus mentioned in the said document is only for providing pressurized water. When the washing process is completed, the used water is sent to the sewage system from the sink drain. In order to use the apparatus in question, it is necessary to drill on the sink by performing additional operations. In addition, the use of an additional apparatus in or around the sink causes a narrowing of the usage area.

Explanation of the Invention

The invention relates to a glass/jug washing apparatus that works in washbasins and sinks in areas such as kitchen, bathroom, toilet, terrace, balcony, garden. The apparatus subject to the invention contains pressure plate with injector (10), sink strainer screw (20), strainer (30), siphon-strainer gasket (40), siphon (50), on-off shaft (60), spring (70), blind plug (80) and on-off shaft gasket (90).

The apparatus that is the subject of the invention is placed in the sink. A siphon (50) is placed under the sink, a siphon-strainer gasket (40), a strainer (30) and a pressure plate with injectors (10) are placed on it. The apparatus that is the subject of the invention has the same dimensions and size as the water drains of the washbasins currently used. Thanks to the same dimensions, it can be easily mounted on all washbasins used in the prior art. There is no need to do an additional operation such as drilling the sink. The strainer (30) in the apparatus that is the subject of the invention ensures that the water desired to be discharged is transmitted from the sink reservoir to the siphon (50). Siphon-strainer gasket (40) is positioned between siphon (50) and strainer (30) to prevent possible leakage.

The apparatus subject to the invention has a pressure plate with injectors (10). There are water outlet holes (11) on the pressure plate with injectors (10). The water outlet holes (11) ensure that the water is sent with pressure and at a certain angle. The water outlet holes (11) are located on the head of the injector. There is a water outlet hole (11) in the middle of the head of the injector. There are also water outlet holes (11) around the water outlet hole (11) in the middle. In the preferred application of the invention, the water outlet hole (11) located in the middle looks straight (90 degrees) upwards, while the water outlet holes (11) on the sides have an a angle. Angle a is between 30 and 60 degrees. In an alternative application of the invention, the number of water outlet holes (11) and their outlet angles can be changed depending on demand and need.

The pressure plate with injector (10) in the apparatus that is the subject of the invention can be easily removed by pulling it by hand without using an additional tool, when it is not desired to be used. However, the pressure plate with injector

(10) can be easily attached to the fixing hole (53) by hand, again, without using any auxiliary tools, when it is desired to be reattached to the sink. In this way, the user can use the sink as s/he wishes. When the pressure plate with injector (10) is removed, there is no water leakage, since the on-off shaft (60) remains in the siphon (50).

Rings (12) are positioned to prevent leakage of water coming under pressure on the pressure plate with injectors (10). Thanks to the rings (12), the water coming under pressure is prevented from coming out of any place other than the water outlet holes

(11). While the said rings (12) prevent leakage, they also ensure that the pressure plate with the injector (10) moves easily within the sink strainer screw (20). In alternative embodiments of the invention, the pressure plate with injectors (10) can contain different numbers of rings (12) or can be used without a ring (12). There are spaces (13) on the pressure plate with injectors (10). After the washing process is completed through the spaces (13), it is ensured that the water used is directed to the drain (52) without any accumulation.

The siphon (50) located on the apparatus subject to the invention has at least one water inlet (51) and at least one drain (52). The water coming from the building installation is connected to the apparatus which is the subject of the invention via the water inlet (51). The water used in the sink is sent to the waste water system via the drain (52).

If the on-off shaft (60) is closed, the water taken over the water inlet (51) remains between the blind plug (80) and the on-off shaft (60). When the pressure plate with the injector (10) is pressed from above, the on-off shaft (60) moves down and comes to the open position. In this way, the water coming from the water inlet (51) is transmitted to the pressure plate with injectors (10).

There is a spring (70) between the on-off shaft (60) and the blind plug (80). The spring (70) continuously pushes the on-off shaft (60) upwards and ensures that the said on-off shaft (60) remains in the closed position. In addition, the spring (70) is connected to the pressure plate with injectors (10) together with the on-off shaft (60). When a force is applied to the pressure plate with the injector (10) from above, the on-off shaft (60) comes to the open position and the spring (70) is compressed downwards. When the pressure applied to the pressure plate with the injector (10) is cut off, the compressed spring (70) pushes the on-off shaft (60) upwards and ensures that the said on-off shaft (60) comes to the closed position.

The water inlet (51) on the siphon (50) coincides with the lower part of the on-off shaft lug (63). The on-off shaft (60) is pushed upwards by the water mains pressure. The pushing force of said water assists the pushing force of the spring (70). Thanks to its help, the spring (70) is prevented from being deformed over time. In alternative applications of the invention, the apparatus subject to the invention can also operate with the force of the mains pressure without the spring (70). There is a spring fixing lug (81) on the blind plug (80). With the spring fixing lug (81), it is ensured that the spring (70) stays on the blind plug (80) properly without sliding left and right. In addition, there is a spring fixing lug (64) on the on-off shaft (60), which ensures that the spring (70) stops properly without sliding the spring (70) to the right or left.

There are water inlet holes (61) on the on-off shaft (60) for the water coming from the water inlet (51) to pass. When a pressure is applied to the pressure plate with the injector (10), said water inlet holes (61) coincides with the water inlet (51). In this way, it is ensured that the water comes out from the water outlet holes (11) on the pressure plate with injectors (10). When the water inlet holes (61) are clogged or the spring (70) needs to be changed, the inner part can be intervened by removing the blind plug (80).

The on-off shaft (60) is pushed upwards by the spring (70). An on-off shaft lug (63) is located at the bottom of the on-off shaft (60). Said on-off shaft lug (63) fits into the fixing hole lug (54) located in the siphon (50) with the pushing force of the spring (70) and the mains water. In this way, the on-off shaft (60) is prevented from moving upwards through the siphon (50).

The fixing hole lug end (54.1), facing the on-off shaft lug (63), of the fixing hole lug (54) located in the siphon (50), has a shape that tapers towards the tip. The on- off shaft gasket (90) fits into said fixing hole lug end (54.1). A complete sealing is provided between the on-off shaft (60) and the siphon (50) thanks to the narrowing shape of the fixing hole lug end (54.1).

When the on-off shaft (60) is in the open position, pressurized water comes out from the water outlet holes (11) on the pressure plate with injectors (10). It is ensured that the interior of the goods to be washed and/or rinsed with pressurized water is washed. With the pressure, it is ensured that the containers of semi-fluid products such as jam, molasses and honey are easily washed. When the assembly process is completed, the on-off shaft (60) remains inside the sink strainer screw (20). There is a ring (62) on the on-off shaft (60) to prevent water from leaking. Said rings (62) prevent any leakage that may occur in the sink strainer screw (20) of the on-off shaft (60), while also ensuring that the on-off shaft (60) moves easily. In alternative embodiments of the invention, the on-off shaft (60) can contain different numbers of rings (62) or can be used without a ring (62).

There are two drains (52) in double sink systems. The siphon (50) in the apparatus subject to the invention has two drains (52). In this way, the product subject to the invention can be easily mounted in two-sink systems. A drain (52) of the siphon (50) having two drains (52) can be closed with a blind plug (52.1). In this way, the same siphon (50) can also be used in single-sink systems. In an alternative embodiment of the invention, the siphon (50) can have a single drain (52) or more than two drains (52).

The sink strainer screw (20) connects the strainer (30) and the siphon (50). After the strainer (30) and siphon-strainer gasket (40) are positioned on the upper part of the sink and the siphon (50) is positioned on the lower part of the sink, the mentioned parts are connected to each other with the sink strainer screw (20). The sink strainer screw (20) is fixed to the fixing hole (53) located on the siphon (50). Said fixing process is provided by locking the threads (22) on the sink strainer screw

(20) to the threads in the fixing hole (53) of the siphon (50).

There is a fixing channel (21) on the sink strainer screw (20). The fixing channel

(21) is wide enough for coins to enter. Thanks to the fixing channel (21), fixing with a coin can be performed without using any auxiliary tools (screwdriver, etc.).
